IF THE FIRST VERSION IS PERFECT, YOU WAITED TOO LONG

CALLING ALL PERFECTIONIST - THIS ONE IS FOR YOU!

I too am a seeking of perfection - I try to be chill & go with the flow in my personal life, but when it comes to business I remain as poised and polished as possible.  In my ever growing quest for personal growth, I had listened to a podcast about taking messy action - hearing those words actually made me break out into a small sweat.

My planners have planners - I have order and organization - I lay up at night over-thinking every design, contract, order, upcoming photo shoot - I strive for perfection.

So as I am listening to this podcast the podcaster says "If the first version is perfect, you waited too long." SUCKER PUNCH!  OMG - this is so true!  How many times have you wanted to share a concept, idea, or design but sit on it because in your mind it was not perfect?

Hands up!  I know you are trying to hide, but it's okay to strive for perfection but get messy along the way. You' re a Creative, damn it!  It's like a free pass to be messy, take risks, and go against the grain.

WANNA KNOW HOW I AM TAKING MESSY ACTION?

I started this site without direction, design, or a perfect plan of how I want the navigation to flow or the content that I share.  Something bigger than me is calling me to put these thoughts into posts and eventually vlogs or a podcast.  I don't know how to edit audio or really how to vlog - but that's part of the journey to get messy and to look back someday and say... Damn, that first version of what I created sucked in comparison to what I am creating now.

A CHALLENGE TO YOU!

I'd love for you to take messy action in your business.  Publish, print, release, share whatever it is you have been working on that isn't deemed perfect in your eyes.  Share it on your Facebook and Instagram accounts, send out a newsletter to your life, publish a vlog or podcast episode that you've been feeling called to share even if it won't get viewed or cause a little controversy.
